Abuja, Oct. 26, 2012 (NAN) The First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan, has described the celebration of the Ed-el-Kibir festival as `a deeply significant event’ that emphasises absolute trust in Allah.

This is contained in a statement by Mr Ayo Osinlu, her Special Assistant (Media) in Abuja on Friday.

``I felicitate with the Muslim Ummah as they mark another Eid-el-Kabir. The celebration is a deeply significant event that emphasises absolute trust in Allah.

``The event reminds all Muslims to continue to show love, tolerance and compassion toward one another,’’ she said.

She urged all Nigerians, particularly women, to continue to advocate for peace and dialogue in resolving national challenges instead of resorting to violence.

The president's wife also advised Nigerians to support the government in maintaining law and order during and after the festive period. (NAN)
