Kaduna, Oct. 27, 2012 (NAN) A pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God on Saturday urged Nigerians to shun careless lifestyles.
Pastor Timothy Olaniyan, the pastor in-charge of Kaduna Province II, gave the advice in Kaduna during the second edition of the Annual Redemption of Sons and Daughters Programme, tagged, ‘’ Possessing My Birthright”.
Olaniyan said “careless way of life is responsible for all the present hardships being experienced by the nation.”
He said most Nigerians had lost their birthright through careless lifestyles, adding that the present situation of Nigerians was as a result of ungodly behaviour.
“Poverty and unemployment are not responsible for the woes in Nigeria but the lack of fear of God and careless living,” the pastor said.
He said that some parents were selling the birthrights of their children because of the love for money.
He said children, whose birthrights were sold, had become vulnerable in the society and that evil-minded persons were now using them to distort the nation’s peace.
He urged such parents to retrieve the birthrights of their children through prayer for a better future.
According to him, some youths have also traded their birthrights with food, material things and money.
Olaniyan said that God’s blessings were attached to every birthright and urged all youths to guard their rights with prayers in order to live meaningful lives in their communities. (NAN)
