Calabar, Sept. 22, 2012 (NAN) Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets on Saturday in Calabar walloped Junior Menas of Niger Republic 6-0 in the second leg of the 2013 African U-17 Youth Championship qualifiers.



The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the match was the first round second leg qualifier and was played at the U.J. Esuene stadium.



Ifeanyi Matthew opened scoring for Nigeria in the 14th minute before defender Izu Omego made it two in the 25th minute of the encounter.



Captain Musa Mohammed scored the third goal in the 30th minute, while Isaac scored the fourth goal in the 42nd, and substitute Musa Yahya made it five in the 82nd minute of the game.



Isaac completed the routing as he banged the sixth goal into the visitors' net in the 84th minute.



The Nigeria cadet team had won the first leg 4-1 in Niamey a fortnight ago, and Saturday’s scoreline placed the team on a 10-1 aggregate.



The team will play its next match on Oct. 14, against Guinea
